January Beauty

January is a very busy month!  The students at KHES have been busy getting back into the routine after the holidays.  The cold weather brings inspiration for many art projects.

Our 5th graders have been spending the school year learning about American styles of art.  This month we focused on Regionalism. This is a style of art from the 1920's through the 1950's.  We looked at art by many American artists that worked in this style like Grant Wood and Grandma Moses.  Wow! What wonderful drawings of rural America my students created.

Please enjoy these works by students from all 3 5th grade classes.
